Class Descriptions

Challenge Course:

Each class may be "challenged" during this early morning class session which is run in a "challenge" format, which means there will be no instruction or video. Students will take a written exam and, upon successful completion of the written exam, demonstrate skill proficiency in a skills test.

Students that do not display skill proficiency will be dismissed and referred to a full-length course later in the day or on another date, and be required to pay the additional course fee.

Note: All students must arrive at the beginning of class, however student completion times may vary since students will be tested one at a time on a first-come first-served basis.

Child/Infant CPR:

What is an AED?

The automated external defibrillator (AED) is a computerized medical device. An AED can check a person’s heart rhythm. It can recognize a rhythm that requires a shock, and it can advise the rescuer when a shock is needed. The AED uses voice prompts, lights, and text messages to tell the rescuer the steps to take.

AEDs are very accurate and easy to use. With training, anyone can learn to operate an AED safely.
