The YMCA offers a program that is geared specifically for children from K- 8th grade with special needs. This program is in collaboration with Tri Counties Regional Center. It pairs the children with dedicated, trained YMCA staff who promote social skills and provide developmentally appropriate activities. YMCA Inclusive Recreation program successfully places children in a variety of YMCA programs, on a case by case basis.

Austin was one of several participants to enjoy YMCA programs over the summer, as part of the YMCA's Inclusive Recreation Program.
Another Parent Letter Regarding Summer Camp Inclusive Recreation Program:
"Just a quick note to let you know how much Eric thoroughly enjoyed his time this past summer at YMCA camp. He was so enthusiastic about going to the program each day, no doubt wondering what type of new adventure he would be experiencing!
The entire staff was so gracious to him and his special needs, finding ways to include him in almost all of the activities. I can't tell you how much we appreciate that.
He was ecstatic the other day when I asked him if he wanted to go back to camp for the Winter Recess! We both look forward to experiencing it again.
