The San Luis Obispo County YMCA welcomes you, regardless of age, gender or background. We have dozens of programs and services to help you grow, to expand your horizons and to connect more firmly with your community through volunteer and other activities.

Atascadero

Atascadero's new Colony Park Community Center is our newest location for North County programs. Click here for a map to this location.
Offered in partnership with the City of Atascadero. YMCA programs span the ages, from bitty sports for 3-5 year-olds to adult fitness classes. Classes change regularly.

The YMCA also operates the SOL Cafe at the Atascadero Colony Park Community Center. Click here for a menu. The SOL Cafe is about nourishing the Spirit, Mind and Body. We want to encourage healthy living by offering more than the average cafe fare. Yes, there are a few opportunities to “splurge”, but you can also enjoy a healthier meal with great flavor. Many thanks to the City of Atascadero for it’s partnership with the San Luis Obispo County YMCA, and especially to the Rotary Club of Atascadero for its generous support in the purchase of the cafe's equipment.

Paso Robles
A number of programs are offered daily including pre-school, teen after school enrichment and gymnastics. Located at Centennial Park at 600 Nickerson Road, in Paso Robles.

Dynamic YMCA after-school enrichment and safety programs, funded through a grant and overseen by the California Department of Education in partnership with the school district are also offered at Daniel Lewis and George Flamson Middle Schools.
During the summer months, summer day camps are offered Monday through Friday for children ages 5 to 13 through Character Camp K-4 and Club 58. See our program page for more information.
Heritage Ranch
The YMCA offers an after-school program at Cappy Culver Elementary School, near Lake Nacimiento. Licensing by the State of California is in process for this program. This program strives to provide a safe, fun and enriching experience for children before and after-school. Children are mentored by positive adult role models. In addition to supporting the student's academic lessons, the program strives to develop each child's character through lessons and activities that teach Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. San Miguel
Located in the Don Wolf Recreation Center at Lillian Larsen Elementary School, our San Miguel location offers the community a large indoor air-conditioned fitness facility with weight and cardio equipment, a full basketball court and fitness classes. In addition to the fitness and basketball facilities, karate classes are regularly offered here. Click here for a map to this location.
Shandon
The YMCA is also active in the Community of Shandon. Free activities such movie nights, Bingo & teen dances are offered monthly to the youth, teens & families of Shandon.
Carrisa Plains

The San Luis Obispo County YMCA offers a dynamic after-school enrichment and safety program, funded through a grant and overseen by the California Department of Education in partnership with the respective school districts. The YMCA program offers after school enrichment activities designed to support academic achievements. Beyond academics, the YMCA after-school programs are dedicated to teaching each of the six pillars of character and increasing assets in our youth. Through program such as this, the Y is helping youth develop skills such as self-regulation, communication, problem solving, negotiation and critical thinking. We know that all of these skills make learning easier as students grow. The students also receive healthy snacks and are involved in recreational activities aimed at increasing their activity and lowering the incidence of childhood obesity.
Cambria
In Cambria the YMCA offers a Drop-in After School Program for Coast Union Unified School District Students, grades 6th through HIgh School. The program consists of: Teen Center Activities, Homework Tutoring, Character Development (Character Counts); Asset Development (40 Developmental Assets); Library Use, Community Projects, Games and much more.
Teen Center Activities include Ping Pong, Pool Table, Air Hockey, Video Games, Computer Access, Local Field Trips, Lawn Bowling.
Occasional after hours activities include such things as a halloween haunted house; nearby field trips (parent transportation) to view the elephant seal, hearst castle, museums, wildlife
refuge, historical points of interest, nature
hikes, environmental outings; dances, concerts, outings, entertainment,
conferences and SLO County YMCA Teen Expeditions.
