Annual Program Membership Fee
The San Luis Obispo County YMCA is a membership-based community service organization. Everyone is welcome to join the SLO County YMCA and no one is turned away for lack of ability to pay. You can become a YMCA member by either enrolling as a Program Member which enables you to enroll in the YMCA’s other programs (but does not allow access to the fitness facility) or as a Health & Fitness Center Member.

Planet Y a4-10 NEW!!!
Ages: 4-10
Planet Y Camp is an exciting new camp based on site at Grover Beach Elementary School. This new camp format will provide children with a FUN, enriching summer camp experience in a safe and supportive environment. Campers will participate in age appropriate activities based on weekly themes and will enjoy beautiful local parks and beaches. The campers will meet new friends and develop lifelong memories. YMCA Camps also include unique components to build character and the total person – spirit, mind & body.

Summer Day Camp
Ages: Entering Kindergarten through 4th Grade

YMCA Character Camp K-4 is designed to provide children with exciting, enriching, challenging and recreational activities in a safe and supportive environment. We offer awesome age-appropriate activities such as swimming, hiking, cooking, and local field trips. Camp field trips include Boomers, museums, beaches, lakes, water slides, local pools, and much more. Camps also include unique components to build character and the total person – spirit, mind & body.

Shell Beach Club 58
Summer Day Camp
Ages: Entering Grades 5 through 8

YMCA Club 58 Camp provides adolescents with a summer of fun especially designed for this age group. Campers participate in activities and travel throughout the county while building skills and making friends. Leadership development, teamwork, and civic responsibility connect young people with their community. Camp field trips include Beaches, lakes, Boomers, and Pismo Bowling to name a few. A Camp T-shirt is included.

Shell Beach Elementary Club Y (Pismo)
Before and After School
Age: K-6th Grade

Our Club Y program at Shell Beach Elementary School is licensed by the State of California. The staff is
college educated and works with the goal of providing a safe, fun and enriching experience for your child.
Safety is priority at the YMCA and we always go the extra mile. We ensure that our sites model all the best practices. When your child participates in Club Y, they receive more than just quality, licensed childcare. Children feel valued, are mentored by positive adult role models, are taught character through our Character Counts curriculum and gain a sense of appreciation for their community. Our Club Y program offers specialized clubs that meet your child’s developmental needs and interests. The children gain confidence, practice good citizenship and develop skills that will last a lifetime. Each month your child will have the opportunity to enroll in activities that suits their own needs and interests. Clubs include but are not limited to homework club, drama club, sports clubs and for the 5th and 6th graders, leadership club.

grant managed by the Lucia Mar School District.

Year-Round Sports Programs
Bitty Sports
Parents rave about the fun they and 
their children have participating in the Y’s Bitty Sports series. Bitty Sports is designed for boys and girls ages 3-5 and their families with a number of goals in mind. Not only do the children learn concepts of each sport, but they also learn the philosophies of teamwork, fair play and sportsmanship. They have
the opportunity to develop friendships and new skills. It is a soft approach to sports for preschool age children. Fees include a team T-shirt.

Youth Roller Hockey
Targeted to all skill levels, including
beginners, the Roller Hockey program was developed to offer children an alternative sport that provides great body conditioning without the “down time” seen in other sports such as baseball. The program strives to encourage skill
development, self-confidence and positive
peer interaction. It also provides a unique
opportunity for parents to share quality time
with the children, and have fun doing it!
Spring Season:
Registration Dates: Begins January 4th, 2010, late registration begins February 12th, (add additional $10). Registration closes March 4th.
Season Dates: March 10th - Jun 14th, 2010
Game and Practice Location: Paulding Middle School (Arroyo Grande)
Time: Games will be Saturday mornings, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, and depend on the team. Practices will be be on Wednesday evenings.
Cost: $80 per participant + fees
Fees: $20 Program Membership Fee per participant or $35 Program Membership Fee per family (2+ children) if not already paid for the year.
Late Fee: Add $10 after February 12th

Special Holiday Day Care - South County

The YMCA offers a fun and enriching day care during school holidays, such as Martin Luther King Day and President's Day.
Special Holiday Day Care is offered to families not otherwise enrolled in YMCA after-school programs. For those families currently enrolled, care on this day is included as part of your monthly membership.
Special Holiday Care is designed to provide your children with fun, safe, and exciting place for your child to spend their day off from school on select school holidays.
The YMCA incorporates the 6 pillars of character into every aspect of our day of fun, as well as offering unique components of asset development designed to develop the total person-spirit, mind, and body. We do art projects, teambuilding activities, physical activities, and offer a nutritional snack. Sign your child up today, and rest assured that they will spend the day in good hands. Please be sure your child dresses in play clothes and brings along a healthy lunch & water (please no soda).
