Volunteer Profile
We're pleased to introduce you to two of our valuable volunteers:
Meet Hanna
Hanna volunteers in our Kids Gym two days a week. She is eleven years old.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I like listening to music and writing up my own imaginary stories.
Q: What do you like most about volunteering at the YMCA?
A: That's hard! I like getting to hang out with younger children who aren't my little sister. I also like having friends (the leaders) there who I can talk to about everyday things.
Q: How long have you been coming to the YMCA and how?
A: I started coming to Kids Gym when I was 4 (I always came with my older sister) and I kept coming until I was 10 when I started having tons of homework. I started volunteering here in the middle of September.
Q: What is your favorite YMCA memory so far?
A: I have two favorites. My first memory was when my mom told me she had gotten me an interview with the director, and my second memory is when I came here on the first day of volunteering and everyone said hi to me, like they already knew me. It felt good to know I had new friends!
Meet Gabriela

Gabriela also volunteers in our Kids Gym.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I like to play soccer and rollerskate, I also help babysit.
Q: What do like the most about volunteering at the YMCA?
A: Getting to know the kids and leaders.
Q: How long have you been coming to the YMCA?
A: I have been coming since around the middle of November. I know about the YMCA because of my friend Hanna.
Q: What is your favorite YMCA memory so far?
A: When I helped one of the kids find a toy that they left there.
